Jenn's Story
Hello and thank you for checking in to learn more about me and my business. My name is Jenn and ever since I can remember, I have been a photographer. Starting out as young as 6, I used to take pictures of my cabbage patch dolls and family with my 110 camera.
I was a klutzy child growing up, tall and gangly. In the fourth grade, I had an amazing teacher. A beautiful woman who poured herself into her students. She was kind, generous and tall like me. She pulled me aside one time and made a point to let me know that tall was beautiful and to stand proud and straight. That has stuck with my my whole life. Photographing children now for 18 years, I always encourage them to smile, crooked teeth and all, stand tall and know you are amazing just the way you are. Gangly and awkward is just a phase that so many grow through. It does not define who you are, it only leads to who you will become. In the time I have photographing kiddos, i desire to instill a little of the encouragement that was given to me when I felt awkward and out of place.
That same teacher would pass right before my time in high school was over. She died from cancer. I was devastated. Now, being diagnosed myself, I value photography more than ever. I am a wife and mother to twin 4 year old sons. I want my boys to see themselves through my eyes. They are funny, and crazy and full of energy. My portraits of them reflect this. I also want to be present in portraits with my family so that someday when my time on earth is over, they will remember my smile, the light behind my eyes, and they way I love them.
Let me do the same for your family. Come and create with me a legacy of heirloom quality images that will last for your children and children's children. Together, we can create amazing wall portraits that will be cherished by you and them for many years to come!
